We are looking for an energetic young individual to work with the Farsi Cinema Center team, and FCC’s production arm The Other End’s team, as we grow both organizations and embark on new projects. Your main responsibilities will involve assisting various team members within the video production, design, marketing and administrative teams. With an interest in film and creative content, you are extremely organized, punctual and ready to utilize a variety of skills.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assisting with office tasks such as filing, reporting, scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and managing the team calendar.
Writing copy for TOE and FCC social media platforms; market research on social media trends.
Researching, pitching, and writing blog articles for FCC.
Creating content for TOE and FCC social media platforms, including but not limited to basic video editing, design graphics, photography.
Assisting the in-house Digital Designer with basic design updates (portfolios, proposals, social media templates).
Researching and updating public and private film funding opportunities, keeping track of deadlines and criteria.
Assisting with the coordination and organization of festival and event preparations.
Participating in brainstorming sessions and helping develop fresh ideas.
Maintaining a polite and professional manner at all times across all communication methods.
Completion of a second or third-year program at a university level.
Ability to take initiative and follow through on tasks and assignments.
Strong written and spoken communication skills and attention to detail.
Highly detailed and thorough research skills.
Experienced user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects).
Working knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter).
Tech-savvy and willing to learn new applications and processes.
Familiarity and interest in film, television and creative media industries.
Understanding/fluency in Farsi and/or Spanish a strong asset.
Part-time internship (up to 20 hours per week)
3-month internship with potential to develop into a permanent role.
