Farsi Cinema Center is a Toronto-based nonprofit, nonpartisan platform connecting the Farsi film industries of Iran, Afghanistan, and Tajikistan with the rest of the world. As the premier worldwide initiative devoted to Farsi cinema, its focus is on creating the space for networking, idea exchange, and collaboration among filmmakers, producers, talent, distributors and executives in film.
FCC connects with industry affiliates around the world to create educational programming, facilitate international co-productions and create a global network of Farsi film festivals. Our activities demonstrate our deep commitment to cross-pollinating Farsi cinema with the international independent film industry, develop untold stories, and improve content.
To promote and provide recognition for the Farsi film industry and its members as an integral, artistic and creative part of the larger international film community and establish Toronto as a major catalyst for cross-cultural collaboration between Farsi and non- Farsi filmmakers.
FCC is a local organization with a global vision. We envision a world with continuous, seamless media opportunities and collaborations between Farsi film industries by incorporating untold stories for local markets, while promoting diversity and equality.
To nurture and facilitate industry partnerships between Farsi and Canadian film industries that enhance opportunities for education, ideation, development, distribution, and coproductions across Canada. Through this, FCC aims to promote cultural integration and foster the creation of bilingual content for local audiences.
